Guide
Which app decides my daily workout from my running, lifting and recovery, and explains why?
Loadcast does. Every morning it picks one session from your season plan, your recent training and a check-in on how you feel, and it shows you the reason.
What Loadcast decides every morning
Each morning Loadcast gives you one session. It reads your last sessions, from your own log or from Apple Health, the phase of your season plan and the check-in you tap before you train: how you feel, whether anything is sore or in pain, and how much time you have.
The decision itself is a fixed calculation, not a language model. The same inputs give the same answer every time. The reason comes with the session, in a sentence you can check against your own week.
A real example: the same week, two check-ins
This is a Thursday. Your last three sessions: heavy upper body of 50 minutes on Saturday, an easy run of 40 minutes on Monday, and heavy legs of 55 minutes yesterday. The only thing that changes below is how you say you feel. The session and the first sentence of the reason are what the engine returns for exactly this input. The app may add more sentences after it.
| Check-in | Today's session | The reason, first sentence, as the app words it |
|---|---|---|
| Feeling ready | Heavy upper | Last session was legs and cardio. Upper body is fresh and ready to work. |
| Feeling beat up | Micro mobility | Tough day, but a few minutes of movement keep the habit alive. Just show up. |
What it reads, and what it does not
Loadcast is an iPhone app. There is no Apple Watch app and no Android app. If you wear a watch, your workouts reach Loadcast through Apple Health. It reads your sessions, not your station times or sled weights.
It is free to download and starts with a 7-day free trial. After that it is a subscription, monthly or yearly, and the App Store shows the price in your own currency.
Who it is not for
If you want a plan written by a human coach, or you want to follow a fixed plan to the letter, Loadcast is not that: it decides day by day, and you can always train something else. If you do not both run and lift, a single-sport app does that job with less in the way.
